Who is training with Tim?
Last year, Tim decided he wanted to help readers with their fitness goals and chronicle the ups, downs and entire experience on the blog.
It began with Kelly Dorfner, who wanted to finish her first marathon. The Oak Creek single mother trained with Tim all summer, and they crossed the finish line together at the 2007 Lakefront Marathon.
Then people started writing in with their own goals to work on with Tim. It was put to a vote, and readers selected Laura Halfmann and Hillary Wucherer to train with Tim in 2008.
Hillary
After weighing 300 pounds on her 28th birthday, Hillary had an
honest conversation with herself. Her initial goal was to just reach a normal weight
without surgery. However, after dropping 75 pounds since then, she decided she wanted to complete her first triathlon. She has her sights set on the Danskin Triathlon, July 13, 2008.
Laura

In
1991, Laura developed ulcerative colitis. She had to drop out of
college
twice and learned what life is like without good health. At 22 she had her colon removed and she started working out. Not moving your body,
she decided, takes a spectacular gift for granted. She's completed two sprint
triathlons that she felt were too slow,
and this year she wants to take 10 minutes off her time. She'll attempt that at the Door
County sprint triathlon, July 21, 2008.

Who is Tim?
He's a regular guy with a lifelong passion for fitness who learned the value of a support team. He ran cross country in high school with a 17:11 5K PR and has finished three marathons. At 26, he's still dealing with a knee injury sustained in a pick-up basketball game in college, along with the everyday challenges and rewards of working out. His goal this year is to finish his first triathlon in Door County, and he hopes he doesn't drown while attempting to swim.
